APPLE BUTTER (LOTWOERICK) 4 qt. apples 2 qt. water 1 1/2 qt. cider 1 1/2 lb. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. cloves Wash and slice apples. Cover with water and boil until soft. Press through sieve to remove skins and seeds. Bring cider to boil. Add apple pulp and sugar. Cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. Add spices. Cook until thick enough to spread. Pour in jars and seal.
