CHEESE BONE COOKIES
(For Those Nuts About Their Mutts)
2 c. unsifted all-purpose
flour
1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar
cheese
2 cloves garlic, finely
chopped
1/2 c. vegetable oil
4 to 5 Tbsp. water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Make cardboard pattern of dog
bone or use cookie cutter. Combine ingredients, except water,
in food processor. Cover; whirl until consistency of coarse
meal. Now add water slowly while machine runs until mixture
forms ball. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll until
1/2-inch thick. Cut out bone shape. Transfer to ungreased
cookie sheet (do not reroll scraps). Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15
minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool. Refrigerate in
airtight container.
