CARAMEL CORN popcorn salt (lightly) 2 c. brown sugar 1 c. butter or oleo 1/2 c. white Karo syrup 1 tsp. salt Spanish peanuts Pop corn and salt lightly. In iron skillet, put brown sugar, butter or oleo, 1/2 cup white Karo syrup and salt. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon soda. Then pour over popcorn. Mix thoroughly, then pour corn in large shallow pan (buttered). Put in 150 degrees to 200 degrees oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove, then add Spanish peanuts.
