SPECIAL FRENCH TOAST

5 eggs
2/3 c. heavy or whipping cream
1/3 c. Triple Sec
2 tsp. sugar
zest of one orange
2 tsp. cinnamon
6 stale plain croissants (cut
lengthwise in half)
6 tsp. butter
confectioners sugar

Beat eggs and cream together. Add Triple Sec, sugar,
orange and cinnamon. Whisk until well blended. Pour into
shallow bowl. Dip each croissant half into egg mixture, turning
once. Melt half the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add
as many croissants as possible to skillet. Brown on both
sides. Repeat with remaining croissants, adding butter as
needed. Sift confectioners sugar over croissants. Serve
immediately. This is a special treat. Especially nice served
with some orange and melon wedges on the side.
