HOT MULLED CIDER 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. whole allspice 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. whole cloves dash of ground nutmeg 1 (3 inch) stick cinnamon 2 qt. apple cider orange wedges Combine sugar, allspice, cloves, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and cider in a large saucepan. Slowly bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove spices. Serve warm in mugs with orange wedges. If serving at a party, keep a pitcher on a heated serving tray for guests to help themselves.
