GERMAN COLE SLAW 1 large cabbage head, shredded 1 large onion, sliced in thin rounds 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. vinegar 3/4 c. salad oil 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. celery seed 1 Tbsp. salt Mix cabbage head, onion and 3/4 cup sugar together and let stand. Mix vinegar, oil, dry mustard, celery seed, salt and the 2 tablespoons sugar; bring to boil. Let this cool completely and pour over cabbage mixture and toss. This keeps well in refrigerator for several days and keeps getting better.
